AXIS-2DX: The World’s Fastest UV Camera
Axis Photonique is proud to introduce the AXIS-2DX, the world’s fastest UV camera.
This ultrafast camera can record movies at a rate of 0.5 trillion frames per second and was developed by a international team of ultrafast imaging scientists lead by Prof. Jinyang Liang and Prof. François Légaré of Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (Canada) and Dr. Nicolas Jaouen of the Soleil Synchrotron (France).
This scientific breakthrough is of great significance in revealing the fundamental mechanisms in physics, chemistry, and biology. It has made the front cover of the 10th issue of the journal Laser & Photonics Reviews.
The next step is to use this camera to record ultrafast events on largescale infrastructures like synchrotrons which are using much shorter wavelengths.
